Ottawa, Ontario.—The Canada Nigeria Chamber of Commerce (CNCC) announced today - Feb. 19, 2011 - the creation of the new Board of Directors which will help entrepreneurs, professionals and organizations navigate Canada’s and Nigeria’s policy, legislative and regulatory obstacles and provide a credible platform for networking amongst all stakeholders.

Headquartered in Toronto, Canada, the Canada-Nigeria Chamber of Commerce (CNCC) is a platform to initialize, galvanize, synergize and optimize capacities for investment, trade and other developmental initiatives between and among professional individuals, businesses, international organizations and governments in Canada and Nigeria for the mutual benefit of both countries and participant.

The Chairman of CNCC Board, Kingsley Jesuorobo, said: “This is an exciting day for the Chamber as we continue to expand our efforts to help entrepreneurs, professionals and even organizations fulfill their dreams. For far too long, there has been a void from policy, legislative and regulatory perspectives with respect to tackling the impediments faced by these stakeholders. We are poised to fill this void. As Canadian-Nigerians, we can no longer sit idly by and watch while our two countries and the impacted businesses and individuals continue to under utilize great opportunities that exist for mutual growth. Given that Canada is among the world’s leading economies, it is self-evidently in the interest of Nigeria and Nigerians to continue to pursue strategic partnerships with Canada and Canadians in all areas of trade and business. In the same vein, Canada and Canadians cannot afford to wait until it is too late before starting to build concrete and long-lasting business and trade relationships with Nigeria and Nigerians."
